I felt like I should try and color it. Now I can put this behind me and move on.

any possible reference to the Influenza Pandemic of 1918 by chance?

I love how you made death a woman. You never really see that and I think it's pretty cool.

You know I didn't even think about it when I drew it. But you are right...you really don't see it. Thank you very much!

is there any particular reason for this beautiful pic, or some sort of story it has? It really looks like it has one!
There's usually some sort of story behind every art piece, and I personally really love to hear about them. :D
Gives it more depth and meaning. :)
And what is the skeleton lady looking at up there?

I'm not exactly sure why, but I do love this piece very much. I think because the people are so well done...you know...perfectly lifelike kinda thing. :)
I'd be proud to hang it on my wall. <3

In the middle ages Hans Holbein did a bunch of "Danse Macabre" drawings. Basically to remind people that not matter who you are, Death would find you. I took this theme and applied it to another time that had a massive pandemic...the Spainish flu of 1918. This flu killed 50 million people, mostly young and healthy people. It was less than 100 years ago and most of us don't even know that it happened. Thanks!

Amazing, this is a great drawing. It portrays a sad yet inspirational style that captures perfectly the deterioration of loosing what is important to you. Great job.
